While the weather hasn’t got the memo, Kansas City’s favorite season is almost here. Hint, hint: it starts with an “f” and turns the metro all sorts of reds, yellows, and golds...

Football season. Oh, and fall too, I guess.

Need a spot to watch to watch your favorite Kansas City sports teams take the dub? Soak up the winning spirit with other fans at these 15+ local sports bars.

Classics for a reason

The Peanut on Main, 5000 Main St., KCMO | What better place to watch the game than KC’s oldest bar and grill? Take advantage of its happy hour and remember to order your wings extra crispy.

Tanner’s Bar & Grill | Multiple locations | Since 1985, “the service is always friendly, the food is tasty, and the beer is ice cold.”

Brooksider, 6630 Brookside Plaza, KCMO | This neighborhood mainstay has no shortage of screen space, making for perfect game days on the patio.

The Landing Eatery & Pub | 1189 W. Kansas St., Liberty, MO | If you live in the Northland, you’ve been to the The Landing. It’s even got a full menu for gluten-free folks (and it’s not just a salad bar).

Chappell’s Restaurant & Sports Museum | 323 Armour Rd, KCMO | Sure, you could get carryout, but then you’d miss out on its world-famous collection of sports memorabilia.

Brews and such

iTap, 403 E. 18th St., KCMO | Take a page from the NFL’s playbook and go international with your pint picks. Fans can bring their own food, sip beers from all over the world, and cheer from the Crossroads.

East Forty Brewing | 1201 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO| Eastsiders, take note — you can sip craft brews and catch the game every day of the week, except for Monday Night Football.

Lew’s Bar & Grill | 7539 Wornall Rd., KCMO | Where else can down a beer boot with friends, family, or by yourself. Hey, we don’t judge.

Casual Animal Brewing Co. | 1725 McGee St., KCMO | Football season means the big screen is back at this Crossroads brewery.

403 Club | 614 Reynolds Ave, Kansas City, KS | Perfect fall evenings call for 60 craft beers, an all-season patio, and pinball for when the game gets rough.

Large groups + watch parties

The Granfalloon | 608 Ward Pkwy., KCMO | This Plaza classic has plenty of room to host your watch party, just be sure to reserve a room.

3 Trails Brewing | 111 N. Main St., Independence | The crew behind Brewer’s Corner + Kitchen brought their playbook to Independence Square with massive TVs, a swanky sitting room, and a stellar menu reminiscent of its Martini Corner origins (aka the spot that first earned our Editor Stamp of Approval).

Chicken N Pickle | Multiple locations | Play your own game while you watch the Chiefs dominate theirs. Rumor has it that the staff will set up a private viewing room upon request.

J. Rieger & Co. | 2700 Guinotte Ave., KCMO | Enjoy the game at any number of the distillery’s bars and event spaces, but our favorite is the Monogram Lounge.

Minsky’s Pizza | Mulitple locations | Step outside your front door, spin three times, and point — you’ll probably land on your neighborhood Minsky’s. DYK, there’s no space fee if you reserve a room.

Where do you like to watch Patrick, Travis, and the rest of the boys play? Drop us a line, and we might share your wisdom with your KCtoday teammates.
