Chiefs Game KCtoday

Welcome to the Red Kingdom.

🏈 Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) | Est. 1963

From their iconic stadium to their recent Super Bowl appearances (and wins), the Chiefs Kingdom has been loud and proud for decades. After formerly playing in Dallas, TX as the Texans for two years in the American Football League, owner Lamar Hunt moved the team to Kansas City, and the rest is history. Fun fact: the Chiefs have the most championship wins in the AFL’s short existence.

Where they play: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium

  • Capacity: 76,416
  • Arrowhead is known as the loudest stadium in football, breaking a Guinness World Record in 2014 after reaching 142.2 decibels during a game against the New England Patriots.

Mascot: KC Wolf

  • KC Wolf was introduced to the Chiefs Kingdom fans in 1989.
  • The mascot is also famous without the fur. Dan Meers, the man inside the suit, averages 150+ speaking engagements each year across the US.

Team colors: Red and gold

  • While there is technically no official background as to why the Chiefs sport red and gold, it is rumored that Lamar Hunt originally wanted Columbia blue and orange. The owner of the Houston Oilers claimed the blue before Hunt, leaving the Texans (later Chiefs) to land on the colors we see today.
