Maple Leaf Festival | Saturday, Oct. 29-Sunday, Oct. 20 | Times vary | Baldwin City, KS | Free entry | Operating since 1958, this annual fest features local makers, a quilt show, a 5k race, and a parade.

Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch | Now-Thursday, Oct. 31 | 10 a.m.-7 p.m. | 17607 NE 52nd St., Liberty, MO | $18.95-$39.95 | Pick pumpkins, take a train or wagon ride, and watch shows like The Pumpkinator. Pro tip: Get your season pass before Thursday, Aug. 15 and you’ll save 20%.
