The NFL Draft is only getting started for the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only is KC the host city for the Draft, but they are also on stage making big business moves to continue the dynasty of the Chiefs franchise.
Let’s take a look at the team’s draft picks so far + see some predictions on who they might choose in the coming rounds.
Round 1, No. 31 overall
To wrap up the first night of the NFL Draft, the Chiefs welcomed edge rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah — coming from just across the border at Kansas State University. The Chiefs lost Frank Clark this offseason, so having Felix will that pass-rusher gap on the roster. Plus, he was very productive in his last two seasons at KSU.
Round 2, No. 63 overall
Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt from Tennessee would be an ideal second rounder for the Red Kingdom. While the team’s wide receiver room is looking nice with Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore, having a deep threat like Hyatt would be the perfect way to round things out.
Round 3, No. 95 overall
Next up, we’re dreaming about adding defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy from Louisiana State University to the roster to lineup next to Chris Jones — seriously, a fantasy for this Chiefs defensive lineup.
Round 4, No. 122 overall (from Miami)
If he is still available, tight end Tucker Kraft is on our mock draft list. Kraft is a quality run blocker with potential to be a threat in the passing game — coming in from South Dakota State.
Round 4, No. 134 overall
Editor Bella is a strong believer in the phrase “defense wins championships” when it comes to football (well, and Patrick Mahomes). So, this next pick is adding to that mantra with defensive end Derick Hall from Auburn University. Hall has the ability to play both run defense and pass-rush, making himself an indispensable part of the team.
There’s still more picks on the board — who do you think the Chiefs are going to take next? Let us know.
