Red Kingdom reminiscing
Let’s reflect on our old flame: last year’s victory parade.
City officials estimate that ~1 million people attended the 2023 parade.
The high was 48º, but this year mother nature is showing her love by giving us a whopping 62º of good vibes.
Tech N9ne performed “Red Kingdom” in front of his largest crowd yet.

Sports
Throw your lucky Chiefs jersey in the wash (probably overdue) and don your Royals hat for a sec. Independence Center is up for sale and city officials have contacted the MLB team with hopes of a possible new stadium contract. The Royals have not commented publicly on the matter. Sporting KC announced its official pub partners for the 2024 season. The expanded list includes 15 spots across the KC metro, with some fan faves sprinkled in from places like Wichita, KS and Columbia, MO. View the list.
Feel Good
KC local Annie Stowe put Momma Kelce’s cookie recipe on a mug. For every one sold, $5 went toward paying school lunch debt. In just two weeks she raised ~$2,000 and will now donate that money to Pawnee Elementary + two schools in Olathe. (KRDO)
Award
Congrats to Shawnee native Christina Sanabria for winning her first Grammy. Her duo, 123Andrés, won “Best Children’s Album of the Year.” The duo previously won a Latin Grammy in 2016 for the album Arriba Abajo. (Johnson County Post)

Goodbye, Gravity. The comfort food eatery located at 4160 W. 71st St., Prairie Village, KS has closed. Its lease was ending and owners chose not to renew it. A new restaurant is rumored to already be on the way. (Johnson County Post)

Please excuse ___________________ from work/school today.
We could try and lie and say they’re not feeling well or there’s an important thing that came up at home…but let’s be honest.
They’ll be at the parade for our back-to-back Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
And fair warning, they might not have a voice the following day.
This margarita mixers bundle, since National Margarita Day is coming up on Thursday, February 22 and we’re trying to be as prepared as possible, thank you very much. Get four margarita flavors to play with including “Simple Margarita” and “Blood Orange Margarita.”
Last week I told you all I was having a baby shower for my first child and asked for parenting tips. I was not prepared for the amount of overwhelming love and support I would receive. Just wow.
Maybe it’s the hormones, but your sweet, thoughtful messages literally brought tears to my eyes. I even called my mom to read the messages with her and cry.
I still haven’t finished reading/replying to all of them (but don’t worry, I will reply to every single one). If you want to slide some parenting tips, trips, and resources my way please do. I’m all ears.
