Hey, Kansas Citians — Winter is on the way, weather you like it or not, and we couldn’t resist peeping at some of KC’s weather predictions.
Thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures + precipitation trends to expect for Dec., Jan., and Feb. While exact weather conditions typically can’t be predicted more than a week in advance, accurate seasonal outlooks can help us prepare for what winter will bring.

Think warmer. This winter, Kansas City has a 33-40% chance of temperatures being higher than normal.
🌨️ Precipitation
About the same. KC has an approximately equal chance of seeing normal amounts of snow and rainfall this winter. Increased chances for more precipitation encroach just south of the metro.
