KCtoday is growing, and so is our staff. While it’s still Skylar + me writing the words you read every day, we have new supporting faces we’d like you to meet. We also asked them to share an emoji that matches their personality + describe their perfect day in KC. Consider this your internet introduction — no Zoom link required.

🎲 Meet Dayten | Multi-City Editor

Dayten was born + raised in the Northland. He supports company newsletters across the Midwest by finding story ideas and writing when other editors are out.

Perfect day? “Let’s start at Banksia for the ricotta hotcakes. I’ll stop by the downtown library, then some writing + lunch around the corner at Mildred’s. Since the perfect day is Friday, I’ll finish with music at the Green Lady Lounge or games at ReRoll Tavern.”

✨ Meet Grace | Editorial Intern

Grace attends college at Rockhurst University. She supports the Plan Ahead calendar + daily newsletter, including pitching her own stories and writing News Notes.

Perfect day? “It starts with a drink from Oddly Correct Coffee. I’d then head over to Billie’s Grocery to pick up lunch and take it to Loose Park for an impromptu picnic/hammock hangout. I’d finish the day with live music in one of KC’s historic venues.”

🔥 Meet Amanda | Sales Executive

Amanda moved here for college + never left. She provides exposure for local companies through our newsletter. KCtoday is supported by ads, and Amanda works to make them relevant to you, our reader. Her work does not influence the editorial team.

Perfect day? “Grabbing coffee at Messenger or Vested is the only way to start, followed by people-watching on the Plaza or at Union Station. My goal is to hike/walk all the dog parks + trails in the metro with my new pup. Finally, dinner at Jack Stack Barbecue with the fam.”

Now that you know us, we want to know you. DM us on Facebook with a picture of you at your favorite place around town, and you could get featured.
