KC skateboarding team in the running to win Red Bull Ensemble

The competition asked teams from across the Midwest to create their own skatepark from geometric blocks and film the final results.

A Kansas City skateboarding team is shredding and ready to win — but they need your help.

Enter Red Bull Ensemble. Earlier this spring, eight teams of four descended on an empty storefront in Minneapolis, MN. Their task? Create their own features — ramps, railings, etc. — out of blocky geometric shapes, film it, and turn the resulting skate sesh into a short, sweet, and sick 60-second clip.

KC skaters Weston Sparks, Lucas Delao, Hunter Gonzales, and Dawson Drier did just that. After 10 days of editing, the videos (and voting) are now live on the Red Bull Ensemble website.

Want Kansas City to take home the ultimate prize? Cast your vote for the People’s Choice Champion before it closes tomorrow, Saturday, June 8.
