Seems like one of KC’s nicknames should be the “City of Sports.”

Dig this. Earlier this week the Kansas City Sports Commission and the Pro Volleyball Federation announced that Kansas City will host a team in 2025.

The Pro Volleyball Federation is a newly formed professional women’s league serving up an inaugural season this January.

So far, the league has teams based in:

  • Atlanta, GA
  • Columbus, OH
  • Grand Rapids, MI
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Omaha, NE
  • Orlando, FL
  • San Diego, CA

Teams will play 24 matches — 12 at home and 12 on the road. KC will join the rally in the second season. But don’t take your eye off the ball. The Kansas City team will soon serve announcements revealing the team name, logo, players, and staff members, as well as its playing venue.

Visit the Pro Volleyball Federation’s website to learn more.
