Out with the old, in with the new. KC Power & Light District hosted a ceremony on Monday, July 10 commemorating new apartments opening May 2024.

The vacant Midland office building — located behind the iconic Midland Theatre — is now Midland Lofts.

“It’s much easier to construct new, beautiful buildings like Three Light ... It’s so important though that we save these buildings and bring them back to their former glory,” President of the KC Power & Light District John Moncke said.

“And we do that because we have a really rich and amazing history here in KC, and we want everyone to be able to experience it.”

Each apartment has a unique floor plan, but all include high-end amenities like quartz counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and washers + dryers — plus, they overlook the downtown cityscape.

Prices start at $750. Applications are currently being accepted.
