Lux Living is making its mark on Kansas City’s real estate market, with multiple new apartment complexes underway.
From Midtown to Berkley Riverfront, the St. Louis-based developer is redefining high-end lifestyle for Kansas Citians. Let’s unfold the blueprints and take a look at the portfolio.
Riverfront living
Sitting among other Berkley Riverfront projects, this Lux Living property (official name TBD) will include 252 apartment units + retail space. The building will be curved, reflecting the Missouri River it sits next to. Studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms will be available. Construction completion is TBD.
Amenities at this building include:
- Sports deck with bocce ball courts
- Massive pool deck
- Rooftop pet park
- Multi-level fitness center
- Self-serve 24/7 market
Walking in a Crossroads wonderland
Warning: Construction site. This 215-unit complex is already in the works in the Crossroads Arts District. Wonderland boasts one-of-a-kind design features and amenities, with in-unit accommodations like Alexa-activated appliances, rainfall showers, and USB outlets. Resident move-ins are expected to begin this year.
Amenities at Wonderland include:
- 5,000-sqft fitness center
- Turkish Hammam Spa with custom float pods
- Pool deck with cabanas and a hot tub
- 2,000-sqft Aqua Lounge with indoor pool
- Basketball court + golf lounge
Blast from the past in Midtown
Have you ever wondered what happened to the old Katz building? We got you. The building that was once Katz Drug Store will stay true to its KC roots — keeping the original name + bright neon signage.
The 192-unit project will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, and sits right on the future KC Streetcar Main Street route. Expect a 2024 completion.
Katz on Main will feature amenities like:
- Float pod relaxation room
- Pool deck with hot tub, fireplace, and nano doors
- Arcade bar
- Bowling alley + golf lounge
- Movie theater
Meet Freight House Village
If you couldn’t tell, Lux Living loves the Crossroads. This project will include a seven-story, 246-unit apartment building and ~10 townhomes with patios/porches. Plus, it will feature ~2,700-sqft of retail space on the first floor.
Amenities at the multi-family complex will include:
- Turkish Hammam Spa with hydro-massage
- 3,500-sqft fitness center
- Outdoor courtyard
- Sky lounge with bar
- Golf lounge + arcade
Moves in downtown KC
The developer’s most recent ambition sits at 14th Street and Wyandotte. This potential project is a little different than the others — both in purpose and size. The apartment building would become Lux Living’s first high rise in KC and would double as a hotel.
Apart from 300 apartments and 200 hotel rooms, the building would also offer retail space. Plus, it would include a 421-space, four-level garage. The existing lot is currently abandoned.
