Chiefs leadership has thrown it back to the fans, inviting all members of the Red Kingdom to share their thoughts with two surveys: potential renovations to Arrowhead and all-new stadium plans.
Adding a few bells + whistles
It was this time last year when the Chiefs first released bombshell renderings of a completely renovated Arrowhead, contingent on the stadium sales tax measure (which ultimately failed) and a Kauffman Stadium-free Truman Sports Complex.
While neither has come to fruition (yet), the current survey references some perks it originally pitched, including:
The Activation Zone, an entertainment-centered, turf-covered tailgate zone
Upgraded VIP entrances, clubs + luxury suites
Enhanced stadium accessibility accommodations
Opting for all new
Once you’ve shared your thoughts on potential renovations, the survey will prompt you to answer a few questions about an all-new stadium for Patrick and his Mahomies.
Enhanced stadium accessibility, improved seating, and upgraded amenities are similarly shared, but fans are asked to weigh in on:
Location, ranking a preference for KCMO, KCK, or the current Truman Sports Complex
Roof style, ranking variations of open air, fixed, and canopy

Four Light has gotten the green light from KC’s city council — though somewhat reluctantly. The plan included previously approved tax breaks and incentives for its developer, including a parking garage partially paid for by the city. No current councilmembers, besides Mayor Q, were elected at the time of the deal. (Kansas City Star)

The podium is complete. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes welcomed their third child on Sunday, Jan. 12 during a bye week for the playoffs-bound Chiefs. Following the naming tradition of siblings Sterling and Bronze (and family dogs Steel + Silver), meet baby girl Golden Raye Mahomes.

I bought one of my favorite pairs of boots during the closing sale of Macy’s at The Shops of Prairie Village in late 2019 — yesterday, I wore those same boots to attend a wall-breaking ceremony to kick-off the location’s major redevelopment. Talk about a full circle moment.
