The Kansas City, KS Public Library is hosting the 2022 Library in the Park. The free event celebrates local literature + the library community in KCK. What better way to enjoy literature than at a park on an autumn day?

Here’s what you need to know about the event:

Where

  • Huron Park, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS
  • There is free parking in the City Hall Health Center lot to the north of the park, the UMB Bank lot east of the park, and on the street in front of the Main Library.

When

  • Sat., Oct 1, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Must see

  • Grab a free signed copy of local author + teacher Daniel Miyares’ book “Hope at Sea,” which takes place in Lenexa, KS.
  • Shop the giant book and movie sale with hundreds of items priced at just $1 each. This sale is cash only.
  • Groove to live music. 🎶
  • Bring your kids for face painting, bubbles, and craft kits.
