KC BizCare is making money moves — receiving $500,000+ of funding to go towards helping local minority business owners thrive.
KC BizCare provides technical assistance to entrepreneurs who are starting or operating a business in KCMO. Think: a 311 for small businesses within the city. Plus, they work to raise funds for grants and programs that will benefit local + minority owned biz. Win-win.
Let’s talk numbers.
- The Kauffman Foundation is donating $550,000 to create a business accelerator for minority owned businesses + provide counseling for all small business owners.
- $15,000 is coming in from the National League of Cities and City Inclusive Entrepreneurship dedicated to assisting Hispanic businesses.
- A partnership has been formed with 1 Million Black Business to support 500 Black-owned businesses in Kansas City by 2030.
