Clear eyes, (about to be) full stomachs, can’t lose: that’s our mantra heading into Kansas City Restaurant Week, which takes place Fri., Jan 14-Sun., Jan. 23.

How to participate

This 10-day dining experience allows you to savor the flavor of exclusive menus from tried + true classics and spicy new restaurants across the Kansas City metro. All prices are fixed at $15, $35, and $45. You can visit the website or download the free KCRW mobile app via the Apple Store and Google Play Store. You can make reservations, map participating restaurants, and utilize camera frames + stickers.

🍽️ 3-4 course prix fixe

This dining option lets guests experience multicourse meals at participating restaurants for one fixed price — most restaurants offer choices between courses.

At Bamboo Penny’s (new to Leawood last year), diners can try the pan-seared dumplings, mango red curry, and roasted banana and caramel ice cream for $35. Add three four-ounce wine pours for an additional $25.

Other participating restaurants in this category include Ironhorse Bar and Grill, Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar + Lidia’s.

Specials for the week include BLU HWY’s rainbow trout, Overland Park’s Rock and Brews’ fire-roasted brussel sprouts paired with buttermilk chicken fried chicken and a brownie sundae (pro tip: there is also a separate “sharing” menu), and a truffle-marinated brisket from Tribe Street Kitchen.

🍽️ Lunch specials

For your lunch hour, Summit Pizza in Lee’s Summit is offering a $15 special including your choice of two mini pizzas (with gluten free + vegan substitute options) or two lunch buffets/salad bars. Bonus: select a second course midday gooey butter cookie for dessert, or satisfy your thirst with two fountain sodas.

Other participating restaurants with lunch specials include AIXOIS French Restaurant, Trofi Restaurant, and Cliff’s Taphouse.
