816 Day — a city holiday based on the KCMO area code — is coming up this Tuesday, Aug. 16 (get it?). Last year, we celebrated with a J. Rieger release and some fun KC activities. This year, bingo is back along with Art in the Loop and a few special deals around town. Let’s get dialed in.
Scavenger Hunt Bingo
Put on your walking shoes and head downtown. This game of bingo doesn’t require much luck — just a little time and a lot of fun (the perfect weekend activity). Plus, there are ways to win prizes.
The scorecard lists local businesses, landmarks, and locations from the River Market to the Crossroads (hint: they’re all near the streetcar line). You can pick up a scorecard at participating businesses (or download it here) + fill it out by grabbing on-site stickers or snapping the locations’ QR codes.
Filling in a single row gets you entered to win one of eight $50 gift cards. Fill in all the perimeter squares for a chance at one of two $100 gift cards. Feeling ambitious? Getting every square will put you in the running for four Field Club tickets to a future KC Current match. Game on.

It all leads up to the big day with most of the celebration at the City Market — 20 E. 5th St., KCMO.
Art Garden KC | 4-8 p.m. | Start the celebration with local makers and artists stationed in City Market Park.
Art In The Loop | 5:30-8 p.m. | Special performances include musical duo The Black Creatures, aerial acrobats from Circus Scorpius, and jazz saxophonist Kyle Jones. Turn in your bingo card at the show and stay for the raffle at 8 p.m.
