Feeling passionate about sidewalks? You could impact the future of our sidewalks by telling Kansas City how you really feel.

Public Works is hosting virtual meetings on Tues., March 15 from 6-7 p.m. (South KC) and Sat., March 26 from 10-11 a.m. (citywide), and they want your feedback. More information on past meetings can be found on the KCMO website .

ADA Corner Ramp Upgrades

311 Sidewalk Repair Requests

  • The city aims to start repairing their existing sidewalk backlog of requests from 2008-2016 by 2025. However, current concerns about sidewalks, curbs, and driveways can still be reported to 311 .

Citywide Design Inspections

  • By using a data-driven points system , the city is prioritizing sidewalk inspections to ensure the conditions of sidewalks are accurately reflected in their records.

Despite KC ranking as a “car-dependent” city , the city is moving towards greater pedestrian safety (if you follow our Instagram — think micromobility hubs). By improving accessibility and safety, the GO KC Sidewalk Program will help lay the foundation for the Downtown Council’s 2030 Strategic Plan .
