Not one, not two, not even three... seven new bars (and one tasty food truck) are pouring into Westport beginning next month.

The ambitious undertaking is the work of a coalition of local biz owners named Westport Bars KC Group + their partner Lance Pierce. Here’s what they have on the menu for you:

Westport Bar & Rec

4120 Pennsylvania Ave. | Opened Aug. 2023
The first of these connected concepts debuted last fall. This bar features 50+ games — including classic arcade games and old school gaming consoles — plus 100+ beers on tap.

Westport Landing

4115 Mill St. | Opening Friday, July 19
Looking for a more boujie bar? Then land here. Westport Landing promises to provide a “charming, upscale interior” where you can clink your cocktails + dance the night away with the help of a live DJ.

The Patio

4125 Mill St. | Opening Friday, July 19
Aptly named, stop by The Patio if you’re seeking outdoor vibes. Enjoy a DJ + live music as you rub elbows with ~500 guests around a fire pit.

Not just any patio, it’s The Patio — opening in time to catch those warm summer nights.

Jungalow

4117 Mill St. | Opening Aug. 2024
This intimate spot is designed to make you feel like you were transported to a tropical vacation, with its tiki spirits and handcrafted specialty cocktails.

Q Bar

504 Westport Rd. | Opening Oct. 2024
Dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community, this venture is an extension of Queer Bar Takeover KC. The pop-up will continue on with Q Bar serving as its permanent spot to keep the party going.

Uncle Jim’s Pool Hall

4127 Mill St. | Opening late 2024/early 2025
Ahoy, land lovers. A pirate-themed paradise, this upscale bar will have eight pool tables, eight dart boards, dozens of TVs, and a full service food + cocktail menu. Better get your sea shanties ready.

The Horseshoe

4124 Pennsylvania Ave. | Opening late 2024/early 2025
Giddy up and get down in this giant corral which will have space for ~900 cowpeeps. Mosey through the massive dance floor, tip your hat for bottle service, and rest your boots in the VIP section.

Full-service food truck

The Horseshoe parking lot | Opening late 2024/early 2025
Permanently parked on the perimeter of all these places, the food truck will be easily accessible from The Patio, Bar & Rec, and The Horseshoe. Get food while walking by or order from your phone + be met with delivery at your table.

Whew, that was a mouthful. All that being said, these businesses plan to employ a total of 250+ people and are currently on the hunt for staff. Interested? Submit your application on the Westport Bars website.
