The region’s hub for nightlife, entertainment, and watch parties of all kinds will receive a $10 million facelift, announced last week by Power & Light District leaders.

The multi-venue reinvestment project plans to renovate the roughly two-decade-old Kansas City Live! Block with whole facility amenities, including:

  • An exterior canopy
  • Ceiling heaters and misters
  • High-definition ribbon boards + enhanced lighting

Individual venues will also receive improvements, namely:

  • A patio refresh, new outdoor seating for Pizza Bar
  • $2.5 million upgrade and expansion (near doubling) for nightclub Mosaic
  • New Latin-inspired venue, Besos y Abrazos, featuring dining + entertainment (replacing Leinie’s Lodge and Beer Garden)

Fans, fear not. While construction is not expected to finish until March 2025, KC Live! Block will remain open throughout the process — meaning your 2025 Super Bowl watch party can still look like this... perhaps with more hard hats.
