The Fourth of July is just two weeks away, Kansas City.

We’ll save you the hassle of last-minute planning — the Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular is a can’t-miss (and family-friendly) way to celebrate the holiday in style. Bonus: Did we mention the event is free?

Hitting the right notes

Nothing says summer in the Heart of America like live music outdoors. Head to Corporate Woods Founders’ Park to sing + dance to a jam-packed lineup, including:

  • The Green Shoebox Band | 5 p.m.
  • Howard Mahan | 6 p.m.
  • The Champagne Band | 7 p.m.
  • Justus West | 8:15 p.m.

Savor the evening

Grab a bite from vendors like Bryce’s Food Truck, Mai’s Noodle Express, The Moose Truck, Krazy Crepes (and more), starting at 5 p.m.

The grand finale

Alexa, play “Firework.” Round out Independence Day with a fireworks display sure to light up the night at 10:05 p.m. — don’t forget to bring blankets + chairs. The countdown is on.
