For Valentine’s Day 2024, we made a map of local places where our readers have made memories. We asked for your help compiling everything from proposals to making friends. You did not disappoint.

Explore these local love stories by clicking on the hearts, but there’s just a few love stories that we just had to share:

  • “My future husband was a Captain in the Army attending class at Ft. Leavenworth and Kelly’s Westport Inn was his last outing before heading back to Ft. Campbell, KY. I was out with girlfriends that evening and our final stop was Kelly’s. That night began our love story, long distance dating, and eventual marriage the next year. After my husband’s retirement from the Army we decided to move back to this area where we first met 30 years ago!” — Kate H.
  • “A boy and a girl walked into Green Lady Lounge after a beautiful dinner at Westport Cafe. The girl didn’t want to go home after dinner, so she convinced the boy to drive them both to Crossroads and listen to the jazz band that was playing that night. They ordered fancy cocktails and stared at each other. Holding hands across the small table they sat at, she had to say it,"So are we going to do this?” He responded, “I think we already are.” — Ally F.

Now we’re really feeling the love.
