Kansas City kiddos may be starting the fall semester soon, but there’s still a few precious weeks of summer left. You know what that means — grab your calendar and get ready for 20 of the hottest events coming to KC this month.

Saturday, Aug. 3

  • Artist Talk and Collage Workshop, presented by Andrea Burgay | 1-4 p.m. | Kansas City Public Library, 14 W. 10th St., KCMO | Free | Make your own free-form collage under the guidance of featured Central Library artist Andrea Burgay.
  • Heart of America Hot Dog Festival | 3 p.m. | Paseo Blvd. between 18th St. + Truman Rd., KCMO | $10-$125 | Hold on to your buns. Celebrate baseball’s favorite pairing with a day dedicated to the All-American hotdog, featuring food trucks and live music from artists like Stokely + Brownstone.
  • Going For Gold Bar Crawl | 4-8 p.m. | Kansas City Live! Block, 13 Grand Blvd., KCMO | Free entry | Compete in challenges like water pong, flip cup, and putt-putt as your drink your winner’s cup through Power & Light.
