If your ideal Fourth of July includes stretching out on a blanket, barbecue in hand, surrounded by friends and fireworks — same.
That’s how you’ll spend the evening at Overland Park’s Star Spangled Spectacular, happening Friday, July 4, at Corporate Woods Founders’ Park.
The best part? Everything’s already planned for you. Here’s what’s in store:
- 5 p.m. | The night kicks off with patriotic tunes from the National Guard Band
- 6–9:45 p.m. | Enjoy a lineup of live music, ending with The Rock Gods (hello, Van Halen + Bon Jovi covers)
- 9:55 p.m. | David Williamson performs the National Anthem
- 10 p.m. | Mayor Curt Skoog counts down to the fireworks finale
Food trucks open at 5 p.m., so come hungry for a selection of barbecue, funnel cakes, hot dogs, and more.
Pro tip: Bring blankets, chairs, and coolers — just leave the alcohol and pop-up tents at home. Leashed dogs are welcome, too.
