Are you mystified by mycellium? Siked about spores? Well do we have some news for you — the international Game of Shrooms is returning to the metro on Saturday, June 8.

During this global scavenger hunt, local creatives hide mushroom-themed art in their area and give clues to its whereabouts on social media.

This year, several Kansas City artists have signed up to spread the fun-gi including:

  • Héctor Casanova
  • First City Creatives
  • Kait Krochet

Works will start spore-ratically sprouting up around town after midnight on Saturday. Those on the hunt can find helpful hints on participating artists’ social media, just check the interactive map for details.

Once found, these mushrooms caps are all yours. Just be sure to tag or message the artist to let them know.

Interested in sharing some art of your own? Sign ups are still open.
