Last week, the Chiefs revealed their showstopping Super Bowl LVIII rings — which got us thinking: “How do these rings stack up against the bling from LVII, LIV + IV?”
Back-to-back (LVIII)
Let’s start with our latest victory. And can we just say, these specs are pretty wild. The Chiefs’ latest ring features 529 diamonds and 38 rubies with 14.8 total carats. You’ll have to check out the official page for all of it’s hidden gems, but here’s a few of our favorites:
- A miniature Arrowhead featuring “142.2,” a tribute to Chiefs Kingdom’s world record as the loudest fans
- A tribute to the game-winning “Tom + Jerry” play, made in Coach Andy Reid’s handwriting
Third time’s a charm (LVII)
Thought 500+ diamonds was impressive? Try 629 diamonds, 35 rubies, and a whopping 16.1 total carats. And that’s not to mention the personal touches:
- The ring itself is shaped after a bird’s-eye view of GEHA Field + Arrowhead Stadium
- Inside features Lamar Hunt’s famous quote: “Arrowhead Stadium is my favorite place on Earth.”
Beginning of an era (LIV)
Unless you’re old enough to remember when the AFL + NFL were separate leagues, this is probably your first Chiefs Super Bowl win. This historic bling iced out players with 255 diamonds and 16 rubies for a total weight of 10.85 carats. Special features include:
- 50 diamonds surround the logo, representing the 50 years since the Chiefs first Super Bowl title
- A football with the initials LH honors the Chiefs’ founder Lamar Hunt, a detail that has been included in all Chiefs Super Bowl rings since
Where it all started (IV)
And last but not least, the one to rule them all: Super Bowl IV, the Chiefs’ first world championship title. While we may not have the specs, there’s something special about this classic, vintage design.
