The rendering for the KC Current’s new Riverside Stadium, performance center, and pitch expansion has us giddy.

Everyone watches women’s sports, and this stadium proves it. A few days ago, the Kansas City Current broke ground on the women’s soccer team’s forthcoming Riverside Stadium, and excitement is reaching a fever pitch over here.
The project will include a 2,000-seat, FIFA-certified stadium, a massive performance center, and four new youth soccer pitches, according to a press release. The Riverside Stadium and complex are just the latest chapter in the Current’s historic investments in women’s sports, making this not only one of the coolest things in KC, but part of a broader sea change. We’re here for it.

Ozone action alerts call for some proactive planning. Make a difference by reducing emissions and keeping the air clean. Pro tip: Share a ride or consider opting for public transit using the Way to Go app to reduce traffic and cut down on pollution.
The app aids in finding an active carpool or planning transit routes, making it easier to leave your car behind when air quality is compromised.

Well, that’s embarrassing. People for Bikes ranked KCK near the very bottom for bikeability — 2,643 out of 2,901 cities reviewed globally. The good news? KCMO performed much better, ranking 1,163 and tying the average national score of 30/100. Still, not worth writing home about.

The secret is out. Starbucks launched a “secret menu” option on its app, including items like “Dragonfruit glow up.” (Editor Eric here — it’s a pretty satisfying and decadent treat, too.) The coffee chain also launched a contest for customers to submit their own customized drink. Who needs a secret menu when we’ve got so many local shops to sip from?
