Skycast, a free forecasting service, issues color-coded alerts at 4 p.m. daily to help Kansas Citians stay informed about air quality conditions in their area.

...these were built?
Considering most of our readers have resided in the metro for 25+ years, we figured it was time to test your long-term memory. No, not with any soft-ball trivia like “what’s the metro’s largest city” (Overland Park) or “which NBA team used to reside in KC” (the Kings), but with what we like to call deep cuts.
Think of yourself as a KC connoisseur? See how well you know the history behind these four local landmarks:
Worlds of Fun
Bartle Sky Stations
Plaza Tennis Center
The Hereford Bull
Correctly match each spot with its date of origin and win the grand prize — smug satisfaction.
This newsletter was brought to you by my porch. I’ve been trying to soak up these cooler, less humid days with as much outside time as possible. That includes plenty of walks on the Trolley Trail, which somehow always seem to end with two scoops at French Custard (hazelnut + lemon tiramisu, for anyone wondering).
