We hope you like popcorn. The 28th annual Kansas City FilmFest International kicked off yesterday evening at AMC Ward Parkway 14. The juried exhibition of 100+ local and international films is the biggest curated film festival in KC.
Here’s how it works: Look through the film schedule for a title that suits your fancy — that could be an individual film, or a collection of shorts like “Sci-Fi” and “Horror” — and grab a ticket. Each showing is $10 and takes place at AMC. Meaning, you can roll up to the theater and make a day of it, starting 5:40 p.m. tonight or 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
A ClassPass membership, which lets you use multiple local gyms, fitness studios, and spas with just one membership. We like: Getting 14 days free when you sign up — meaning you can finally see if that gym you’ve been eyeing is worth it.
In another life I was a documentary film student... okay, maybe that was last year. If you end up attending the KC FilmFest, you might just see my name scroll by on a short film’s credits.
