Paint the town. Port KC is showcasing its support for the local art scene with its newest collaboration with Spray KC.
Missouri River Murals will help beautify the cement structures along the trail between the Town of Kansas Bridge and Berkley Riverfront Park featuring works of local and inspirational art. For the next three years, various phases will emerge — each showcasing a different message.

Port KC asked each of the artists to focus on a message to empower and encourage women — those expectations were exceeded.
This years’ murals will be under the Town of Kansas Bridge and on storage containers at the east and west sides of Berkley Riverfront Park. The finished products will wrap up around Sunday, Sept. 17.

Remember the new renderings for the KC Wheel at Pennway Point? They’re already a reality. The 150-ft Ferris wheel is making its presence known in the skyline with the frame of the wheel already up. An opening date for the wheel is still anticipated for this fall.

What was once known as Mani Pedi Me will officially reopen as Cosmo Nails in October. The Overland Park biz rebranded with a new name and will also operate under a new owner. The Kansas City Ballet is opening its 2023-2024 season with the highly anticipated North American premiere of “Jekyll & Hyde.” The show is choreographed by Val Caniparoli and accompanied by the Kansas City Symphony. Performances will take place Friday, October 13-Sunday, Oct. 22. Tickets start at $34.
