✨ Kansas City or Barbie world?

We asked AI what a Barbie Dreamhouse would look like in Kansas City

KC Skyline as Pink Barbie Theme
We asked AI for Kansas City’s skyline: Barbie edition. It gave us this. Thoughts? | Image generated via dream.ai
Come on Barbie, let’s go party — in a City of Fountains Barbie Dreamhouse. “Barbie” hits the big screen today, and we’re joining in on the fun by pondering, “What would a Barbie dreamhouse look like in Kansas City?”

Our assistant for the day is WOMBO Dream AI Art Generator to help us visualize what these pink paradises might look like. We’re drawing inspo from our favorite neighborhood charms + quirks to create the Barbie City of our dreams.

Barbie’s Brookside bungalow

Brookside but make it Barbie (so, pink).

We bet you’ve seen a house just like this while driving down Wornall Road or Brookside Boulevard — maybe a little less pink, though. Brookside is full of Craftsman-style bungalows + American Tudors, a perfect place for Endless Moves Barbie to prepare for a yoga class.

Ken’s Power & Light condo

It’s giving Three Light. The Power & Light District real estate market is popping — with countless sky high buildings and exciting amenities. You’ll find Swimmer Ken at the rooftop pool, of course.

The fun isn’t over yet. Click below to see two more AI houses, and tell us which is your favorite.

Drink Up: Try something new at Boulevard Brewing Co.'s Rec Deck

Welcome to the Rec Deck. Boulevard Brewing Co.'s expansive, laid-back hall is one of Editor Bella’s favorite hidden gems. She sat down with tours manager Kaleigh Rangel to learn more about the space.

The Rec Deck sits on top of the Tours & Rec Center (2534 Madison Ave., KCMO) and is fit with deck shuffleboard, tabletop shuffleboard, and foosball. A wide selection of Boulevard beers + beverages are available for purchase — making the space 21+ only.

“We want it to feel more local-centric since the beer hall gets a lot of tourists. It’s there to provide amazing views of the KC skyline, plus a recreational element,” Kaleigh said.

Walk-in court rentals are $7 per person for one hour of play. Four people can play at a time, but each court seats up to six, so fan sections are encouraged. Each rental comes with a lesson for new players.
