The Kansas City Streetcar runs a 2.2-mile route — connecting the River Market to Union Station and Crown Center with 16 total stops to help Kansas Citians around the downtown area.
The streetcar is entirely free, allowing for spending at the local restaurants, bars, and shops along the route. Unsure where to stop and shop? We have you covered.
Union Station | Pershing Road and Main Street
Eat: Chow down on a New York Strip at Pierpoint’s. Drink: Sip on an iced vanilla latte at Parisi. See: Check out a show at the Planetarium.
Crossroads | 19th and Main Streets
Drink: Try a craft beer at Casual Animal (Editor Travis’ favorite) or Brewery Imperial (Editor Bella’s favorite). Eat: Grab a deli sandwich at King G — we recommend the pastrami on rye. Entertain: Stop by Grinders KC to see local, regional, and national performing acts (plus, there’s pizza).
Eat: Milwaukee Delicatessen Company is a KC classic, dating back to 1881. See: Going to the KC Public Library is a given at this stop, but make sure to take a photo outside the iconic bookshelf parking garage. Drink: Sip on a coffee and be productive with your work BFF at Spokes.
