KC’s Super Bowl year is also... a rebuild year? The Chiefs played at least eight rookies in the AFC Championship — and they showed up big. Isiah Pacheco ran for 85 yards, Skyy Moore returned the final punt for 29 yards, George Karlaftis got a sack, and Joshua Williams got an interception. 🏈 (CBS)
The Royals will reportedly keep right-hand pitcher Zack Greinke for the 2023 season. The 39-year-old MLB veteran ended last year with the most starts of any active pitcher in the MLB — plus, second in wins and third in strikeouts. ⚾️

New KCI terminal will open February 28, 2023
Introducing your new departures zone. | Photo by KCtoday
The new KCI terminal will officially open Tuesday, Feb. 28 — slightly ahead of the March target — Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announced.
“Anyone from around the world who’s flying through KCI will see not just a state-of-the-art airport, but an airport that tells the story of Kansas City,” Lucas said of the local art installations and restaurants.
Build KCI generated ~6,000 construction jobs, including 240 local firms.
The $1.5 billion terminal is the largest infrastructure project in the city’s history. The facility will open with 40 gates and the ability to expand to 50. The parking structure across from the check-in hall includes 6,200 spaces, smart technology, and solar panels.
Officials state the project remains within budget.
Take a peek at KCI’s incoming local restaurants, and stay tuned for our airport guide coming in February.
