We’ve all been there. You’re leaving a late-night show or wrapping up a night on the town, and the midnight munchies hit. But it seems like the lights are off and the grills are cold at all your favorite KC restaurants.

Well, that’s not quite true — because there are definitely joints that cater to nighttime eaters, offering everything from pizza to burgers to tacos. So save this list for the next time you’ve got an after-hours craving past 10 p.m.

Please note: these listings are based on Friday hours.

Anton’s Taproom, 1610 Main St,, KCMO | Open until 12 a.m. | Farm-fresh foods, Fido-friendly spot, and open late, too... what’s not to love?

Atomic Cowboy, multiple locations | Open until 1:30 a.m. | Warning: Only come here if you have a big appetite. Its larger-than-life biscuit-based dishes will put your hunger to the test.

Double Tap, 310 Oak St.., KCMO | Open until 1 a.m. | Flip burgers in virtual reality while munching on burgers IRL.

Kon Tiki, 1922 Baltimore Ave., KCMO | Open until 1:30 a.m. | The tiki lounge serves up tacos alongside its tropical concoctions, and has regularly rotating pop-ups in its not-so-secret room. Its current occupant? The gRAVEyard.
