Turning a new page. Today the Kansas City Public Library is unveiling its new digital look ahead of its 150th anniversary this December.
The rebrand includes a new logo + website design .
“The library’s new logo — the owl in the circle — captures the essence of the library’s 150 years. A library brings together many circles within our community[...]The owl represents the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge, as everyone at the library comes together in a spirit of collaboration,” Media Relations and Communications Specialist Anna Bernard told us.
Hear more about the rebrand at the Central branch (14 W. 10th St., KCMO) this morning. A breakfast buffet begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 15-minute presentation at 10 a.m.
A year-long observance will take place in 2024 to celebrate the 150-year anniversary of KCPL. More events will be announced later this year.
