“The Sandlot” Special Event with the Cast | 7 p.m. | Folly Theater | $25+ | Cast members from this classic baseball flick, including Tom Guiry “Smalls” and Chauncey Leopardi “Squints,” will watch the movie alongside you and round-out the night with a Q&A featuring anecdotes + behind the scenes stories.
The KC Current are going big — again. Just approved: a new 2,000-person stadium near their Riverside training complex, complete with a 17,000-sqft performance center, locker rooms, indoor/outdoor fields, and a player lounge. The Royals’ stadium saga continues — and City Manager Mario Vasquez is backing Washington Square Park as the site of choice.
