Steps from just about everything, including Main’s KC Streetcar. | Renderings via Hoefer Welker
Home sweet high-rise.New renderings just dropped of a 25-story apartment building set to reshape downtown’s north end within the next few years.
Not many details have been announced, but we do know the $250 million project will take over what is currently a parking garage at 800 Grand Boulevard. Plans call for 300 residential units and 24,000 sqft of retail space.
It’s LA-based BR Companies’ first foray into the Heartland — a move the developer claims was a long time coming, in part due to the excitement surrounding Kansas City’s strong local sports scene and nearby CPKC Stadium.
Construction is expected to start in late 2025, as long as city approval moves swiftly, and no anticipated completion date has been announced.
What do you think about this new addition to the infamously empty Grand Blvd.? Drop us a line and we might include it in a future newsletter.
