Starbucks released its fall menu ahead of schedule, meaning the clock is ticking to soak up the sunshine + enjoy your fave coffee spot’s seasonal menu before pumpkin spice totally takes over.

Lucky for you, we’ve already rounded up five can’t-miss summer drinks in the metro so you know where to get your fix before menus start changing next week. A perfect autumn antidote.
  • Pistachio Caffè Cremoso | Parisi | Multiple locations | Tables are a hot commodity at this popular remote work spot, but you’ll have no problem cooling down when you order this frosty dream + a fresh pastry.
  • Blueberry Lemonade | PT’s Coffee | Multiple locations | While its seasonal menu siblings, like the S’mores Latte, Orange Blossom + Strawberry Espresso Tonic, may have a lot (of deliciousness) going on, this summer classic comes with a fruity twist of blueberry popping boba.
  • Thyme Peach Cascara | Blip Roasters | 1301 Woodswether Rd., KCMO | Blip’s signature tea, made from the dried fruit of the coffee plant, is mixed with one of its seasonal housemade syrups. Bonus points: pair it with the Curry Chicken Salad for the ultimate afternoon pick-me-up.

Development
  • Coming early 2025 — Richocet, an adult gaming bar + lounge. The 11,000-sqft development will transform a portion of the iconic KC star building at 18th and Grand Streets into a gaming oasis filled with fun like ping-pong, bumper pool, Skee-Ball and shuffleboard. (FOX4)
Number
  • $72 million is how much the highest paid center in the NFL makes, a title claimed by our Chiefs’ Creed Humphrey. He recently signed the historic deal, extending his contract four more years.
Sports
  • The 2028 Olympics will be full of KC on and around the fields — including the buildings. These arenas are slated to host the world’s Olympians in LA and were designed by KC architects. (Kansas City Business Journal)
Real Estate
  • The Melon foundation pitched in $750,000 to help restore Satchel Paige’s home, the famous Negro Leagues’ pitcher who played for the KC Monarchs. Pitch Perfect KC, the home’s shepherd, is aiming to begin restoration by the end of this year. (Kansas City Star)
Development
  • The historic Lincoln Building (1601 E. 18th St., KCMO) will soon be singing a new tune. The Jazz District denizen will receive a $10.2 million face lift beginning this fall, restoring it to its original facade while adding retail + office spaces. Completion is expected by the end of next year. (Kansas City Business Journal)
