Too many options + too little time? KCtoday has you covered. We’ve narrowed down the best celebrations the metro has to offer for the final night of the year.

24k Masquerade at J. Reiger & Co. | Stay golden, Ponyboy — deck yourself out in your best metallic fits (top it off with a stop at the Body Glitter Bar), grab a glass of champagne + feast on heavy hors d’oeuvres while enjoying a full lineup of live performances.

NYE Live! at Kansas City Power & Light | Want more than a one-stop-shop? Create your own bar crawl with exclusive access to 10+ bars and nightclubs, all-inclusive food + drink packages, party favors, confetti cannons, and a “Times Square"-style ball drop at midnight.

Barbie’s New Years Eve Bash at Corvino Supper Club | Dance the night away at this dreamy party with live music and a full menu served by “a full spectrum of Barbies to Kens.”

Bar K’s Noon Year’s Eve Party | Toast your New Years with your best friend this year...the furry one, that is. Celebrate a 12 p.m. tennis ball drop with complementary dog party hats and a toast for both people + pooches.

70’s Disco at Nine Zero One at The Fontaine Hotel | Grab your highest platforms and hit the town for the grooviest party of the year, complete with party favors, a photobooth + a build-your-own mac & cheese bar.

Baldurs Gala at ReRoll Tavern | Make your New Years magical by stopping in for enchanted libations with unlimited board games, trivia, costume contests and a bevy of themed food and drinks.

The Black Party XIX at The Truman | Send 2023 out in style at this premier party with over 15,000 sqft of entertainment, music + premium drinks.

The Bird’s New Year’s Eve | Give 2023 (up at) The Bird — featuring the best comedy acts from the past year, enjoy laughing the night away with a complementary glass of champagne.

Irish New Year’s Eve at Kelly’s Westport Inn | Need an early night? Or an excuse to start drinking earlier? Celebrate Ireland’s New Years at 6 p.m. with a DJ and drinks.

Zoo Year’s Eve at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium | Watch as the zoo’s party animals receive special-themed enrichment in their countdown to noon.

The landslide winner...

This ombre design with a silhouette of the state capital building won the hearts of KCtoday voters, garnering 131 out of 367 votes.

The least liked? Only 33 people chose the originally proposed midnight blue and gold design that sparked outrage for its likeness to the University of Missouri’s black and gold colors.

I’m a terrible person to shop for — the kind that asks for a toothbrush or gas money on my Christmas list. One thing I do love to ask for though? Weekend getaways. Vacations on a budget are so my speed, so drop your best recommendations for quick trips not too far from KC.
