Boulevardia is the ultimate festival for people who love music, food + drink, and Kansas City. Hi, we’re people.
Before the jam-packed day begins, let’s dive into everything you need to know to prepare for the festival (if you’re not attending, keep reading for parking + traffic concerns).

Music + entertainment
Live music is the focal point of Boulevardia, with local, regional, and national acts taking the stage. Well, four stages + a Monster Energy Silent Disco. Find all the performing acts.
Food + drink
Fuel up at one of the various local food stops + sip on a beverage of choice — see the options. If you’re looking to level up your taste bud experience, check out Taps and Tastes (and snag early admission to have Tech N9ne personally pour your Bou Lou).

Getting around
Park: Free parking in the Crown Center garages is available on a first-come, first-served basis (2450 Grand Blvd.). Additional paid lots will be available around Crown Center. Ride: Take the KC Streetcar or a RideKC bus to the festival grounds. Plus, rideshares will have a designated drop-off area. Bike: A bike lock area will be open during all hours of the festival. Riders must bring their own lock.

The KC Streetcar Authority and the Art in the Loop Foundation announced the 2023 Art in the Loop visual artists and art installations. The works will be displayed at KC Streetcar stops and on Streetcar No. 804 from now through November. See the artists.

Hello, college basketball. The University of Kansas and Wichita State University men’s basketball teams will play at T-Mobile Center on Saturday, Dec. 30, in their first regular season game against each other in 31 years.
Sports
The Kansas City Current welcomed former MLS and USMNT midfielder Lee Nguyen to the technical staff as an assistant coach. Lee played in 250+ MLS matches, leading the New England Revolution to the 2014 MLS Cup Final.
Community
The National WWI Museum and Memorial’s tenth annual Taps at the Tower is Sunday, June 18-Saturday, June 24. Kansas Citians are invited daily to see a moving ceremony featuring an iconic rendition of Taps at sunset (approximately 8:45 p.m.).

On a mission for tacos. Leawood’s Park Place officially welcomed Mission Taco Joint, a west coast-style taco restaurant. The 4,554-sqft location features a main dining room + bar area, as well as a side patio adjacent to the shopping center’s common area.
Plan Ahead
Gumbo Fest is back. The Prospect KC’s second annual Gumbo Fest will return to 18th and Vine Historic Jazz District on Sunday, Oct. 15. The event benefits The Prospect KC and tickets start at $10.
