The parade was staged at Berkley Riverfront. The players entered downtown under a giant American flag and went straight down Grand Boulevard ending at Union Station.
The action officially started at 12 p.m., but fans were camped out along the fence in the River Market early in the morning.

Editor Travis — There’s literally nothing like standing at the top of the Tower at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. The views of the city are breathtaking. See what I mean?

Voo Lounge opens in Kansas City’s historic Muehlebach Hotel

In 1915, it opened as part of the Muehlebach Hotel. Now in 2023, it has reopened as Voo Lounge. Downtown Kansas City’s newest piano lounge and cocktail bar has arrived.
History
This bar has gone by many names, including The Haberdashery and Rendezvous (The Voo. Get it?). Famous visitors include Ernest Hemingway, President Truman, Tom Pendergast, and H. Roe Bartle.
The old hotel has been a part of the Downtown Marriott Hotel system since 1996, but the bar and restaurant space has sat mostly unused since the 1980s. However, a new ownership group decided to put the space — at 1214 Baltimore Ave, KCMO — to use.

Vibe
“We don’t want to be stuffy,” That’s general manager Derek McCann. “It’s: Sit down here and be a part of the music.”
Derek said the goal is to balance upscale craft cocktails with light piano entertainment — think: covers you can sing along to, like “Sweet Caroline” and “Hot in Herre.”
As for the decor, 1915 terrazzo floors gleam with polished brass inlays. The walls are also originals with intricate woodwork. Rich green wallpaper and plush seating makes for an intimate feel.
Editor’s pick: As a Mizzou grad, I was pumped when Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton scored a big defensive touchdown in the Super Bowl. I saw him play as a Tiger, so I have a lot of pride by association. Imagine my smile when he spoke at the rally yesterday: “And can I get a big old M-I-Z!” Z-O-U, Nick.
