Fall is (basically) here, and it’s brought festival season along with it. Here are nine big September events across the KC metro you should pencil in.

Monday, Sept. 2

  • Dancefestopia | Monday, Sept. 2-Sunday, Sept. 8 | Wildwood Outdoor Education Center | $129-$550 | Enjoy up to seven days and seven nights of camping and music.

Friday, Sept. 6

  • 44th Annual Art Westport | Friday, Sept. 6-Sunday, Sept. 8 | Times vary | West 39th Street | Free entry | Discover one-of-a-kind local art as you wander through Westport’s historic streets, plus listen to live music while you sip beverages.

Saturday, Sept. 7

  • Oktoberfest | Saturday, Sept. 7 | 12-6 p.m. | KC Pumpkin Patch | $15 | Adults 21+ only — imbibe on hard ciders, beers, themed drinks, and play nostalgic games.
  • Prairie Village Jazz Festival | Saturday, Sept. 7 | 3 p.m. | Harmon Park | Free entry | It’s the 14th annual celebration of that smooth sound, complete with live performances, food trucks, and family fun.
