It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

‘Tis the season. Soon, the KC metro will be aglow thanks to the many tree lightings. If you want to witness the first moment they shine, pencil these dates into your calendar.

18th Annual Legendary Tree Lighting Ceremony | Saturday, Nov. 11 | 5-7 p.m. | Civic Fountain at The Legends Outlets, 1847 Village West Pkwy., Kansas City,KS | Free
Enjoy a merry evening full of free photos with Santa, complimentary hot chocolate, prizes, and even appearances from KC Wolf and Monty the Monarch.

Unified Government Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Festival | Friday, Nov. 17 | 4-9 p.m. | Memorial Hall, 600 N. 7th St., Kansas City, KS | Free
Get lit at this festival with free gift bags + hot chocolate, live entertainment, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and food trucks.

Lee’s Summit Mayor’s Tree Lighting | Friday, Nov. 17 | 6:30 p.m. | Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, 220 SE Main St., Lee’s Summit, MO | Free
Enjoy a visit from Santa and get free keepsake ornaments. The city will also collect donations for personal hygiene products and toys valued under $30.

Ward Parkway Tree Lighting | Friday, Nov. 17 | 6-8 p.m. | Ward Parkway Center Restaurant Pavillion, 8803 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO | Free
Children from the Center School District will shower attendees with performances, plus there will be food and photo ops with Santa.

Northern Lights Holiday Lighting Ceremony | Saturday, Nov. 18 | 4-6 p.m. | Zona Rosa, 8640 N. Dixson Ave., Kansas City, MO | Free
Watch the majestic 55-ft tree light up among food trucks + local bands. But first, take an “elfie” with the Grinch and Cindy Lou-Who. Plus, the ice skating rink will be open.

No, there isn’t a tree. But you can’t talk about KC lighting ceremonies without talking about the live performances + fireworks as the Crowned Jewel of Kansas City is lit for the season.

Enjoy cocoa and campfires, plus a countdown followed by fireworks.

North Kansas City Mayor’s Tree Lighting | Friday, Dec. 1 | 6-7:30 p.m. | 207 Armor Rd., North Kansas City, MO | Free
Indulge in festive sing-a-longs and holiday refreshments. Plus, there will be crafts for kids and a visit from Santa + his elves.

Listen to live jazz melodies as the historic jazz district is illuminated for the season.

Olathe Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting | Tuesday, Dec. 2 | 5:30-8 p.m. | Stagecoach Park, 1205 E. Kansas City Rd., Olathe, KS | Free
The Olathe Civic Jazz Band and the Olathe East Choir ring in the season while Fox 4’s Matt Steward emcees. Hot cocoa and kettle corn can be purchased.
