Pull your statement pieces out — the Zhou B. Art Center’s grand opening is this Saturday, June 1, 6-9 p.m. Nestled in the historic 18th and Vine district, the new space has made the former Crispus Attucks school its muse, molding 45 classrooms into studios for local artists.
Tickets to the grand opening celebration are $100 and include:
- Witnessing the center’s inaugural exhibit, “A Benediction from Rubble” featuring revered artists Michael Brantley, Robert Hale, Tony Ramos, and Harold Smith.
- Meeting actress + art collector CCH Pounder
- Drinks, small bites, and beats by DJ Skemes
All of the evening’s proceeds will go toward subsidizing art studios, exhibitions, and educational community programming at the Zhou B. Art Foundation of Kansas City.
