Black Friday brings out the best deals from all the major retailers, but Small Business Saturday is when the lovers-of-all-things-local come out to shop. From kickstarting your shopping adventure with a coffee at the Filling Station to picking up holiday gifts at Mid Coast Modern, you can make your entire Saturday a local experience.

  • In the theme of shopping local, Tom’s Town released three bottled holiday cocktails — “Salty Snowman,” “Gin-gle Bells,” and “Sleigh Bell Cider.” Flavors range from smoked tea and brown sugar to pear liqueur and cardamom. Each bottle costs $30 and serves five drinks. 🔔

  • Kansas City has a lot of converted apartment buildingsyou know, those old brick structures retrofitted with loft-style units. KC is among the top for total converted buildings, and that number keeps rising. The city is No. 9 in the nation for most adaptive reuse apartments created 2020-2021. (RentCafe)
