Rieger & Co. whiskey release
Rieger & Co., the historic West Bottoms distillery, will officially release its Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey today — after six years of aging. The release represents the first whiskey distilled in Kansas City since prohibition + the first whiskey distilled by the company for nearly a century.
The limited fall release of the product will consist of 6,000 bottles. J. Rieger’s exclusive launch celebration will be held tonight + your KCtoday team will be there.
Art in the Loop
Jessica Ayala & the Arquesta del SolSoul will perform a free show tonight from 5-6:30 p.m. in the City Market. The band focuses on exploring concepts of internalized depression, oppression, decolonization, and self-love through jazz, native percussion, and hip-hop.
